Cambridge University is an educational establishment. It has the potential to play a huge role in the deveopment of the leaders of tomorrow, and in shaping student's understanding of the problems of sustainable development and climate change. It also has the opportunity to use the expertise and resources of the university to 'clean up it's own house', and set an example of sustainable management for the rest of the world.

As part of moves towards the Go Greener of Promoting sustainable development within teaching and research , the Go Greener campaign has launched the Cambridge Environmental Research Forum, an interdisciplinary, collaborative network for students, primarily at MPhil and Undergraduate level, to work on dissertations which improve the environmental impact of the university, and work towards the aims of the Go Greener campaign.

The project will culminate in a conference at the end of the year, at which students will present their findings.
