The "Go Greener!" Campaign
On Monday 29th of October as the closing event of Green Week 2007, CUSU Ethical Affairs launched the Go Greener! campaign, calling on the University of Cambridge to take a global leading role in promoting sustainability and tackling climate change.
As Cambridge University approaches its 800th anniversary it has a fantastic opportunity to celebrate its remarkable history and to make itself relevant to the most pressing issues of the twenty-first century, by embracing sustainability and addressing climate change – respectively the defining opportunity and the most pressing challenge of our time.
The campaign aims to make the University and Colleges models of low-carbon development and environmental responsibility, to enhance the University's positive contribution to sustainability through teaching and research and the influence it can have on policy, and to raise awareness amongst the student body.
